NEW JERSEY YOUTH SOCCER
|
NJYS Clubs/Coaches,
On Monday, April 26, 2021, Governor Phil Murphy announced he will issue an Executive Order that will expand the general outdoor gathering limit from 200 to 500, beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, May 10, 2021. The Executive Order will be issued next week, and we will provide a link to it when it becomes available.
With this expansion, the 500-person limit can now include other spectators besides the necessary participants such as coaches, players, officials and two parents/guardians per player.
We remind everyone to continue to observe all public health protocols which include:
- Conducting appropriate pre-game health checks
- Wearing masks when appropriate and
- Maintaining social distancing among all participants while at our soccer fields. Players should always wear masks except when playing in the game.
As you know, the COVID-19 response will continue to evolve, and information is expected to change quickly. NJ Youth Soccer will continue to follow the guidance from state and health officials and communicate these changes in a timely manner.
We understand the challenge this may pose for parents and, nonetheless, urge us all to adhere to these parameters that currently provide an opportunity for players to train and compete during this difficult time.
Thank you for your continued support of youth soccer.
Sincerely,
NJ Youth Soccer
